Rosario Resort - Orcas Island, WA
We offer a wide variety of cruise opportunities designed to fit your group's special needs and interests. While the boat is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard to carry 149 passengers, we've found that groups of 20 to 120 work best for comfort's sake. While we do not provide food or drink, we will be happy to help you make arrangements with local caterers who will. Prices of group charters vary according to the amount of travel involved, the day of the week, and the time of the year. While we will take you just about anywhere you want to go and customize the trip to fit your needs, we offer these suggestions:

We customize our regular trip for your pleasure. If you want to change arrival and/or departure times, maybe stop along the way at La Conner, Friday Harbor for a visit to the Whale Museum or Roche Harbor for lunch, we will make it happen. Just for you.
Looking Back on Bellingham Bay Cruise
Essentially the same as our regular Harbor History Cruise except arrival and departure times and even location can be custom tailored to fit your and your group's needs.
There are several resorts and restaurants located in the islands that are perfect for an evening's dinner. We can take you to them in comfort. Or perhaps a catered meal served on board as we take you through the islands. Caterers such as Hotel Bellwether, Boss Tweed, Emerald Bay Events, plus many others are able to provide you with a fabulous array of the finest quality foods. Choose from something simple all the way to elegant.
Enjoy a gorgeous two-hour cruise to either of these charming towns, have lunch, shop, sightsee, then cruise home. For the LaConner tour, we take you past Anacortes through Deception Pass and the Swinomish Channel to LaConner. We offer a complete narration of the history of LaConner, the Swinomish Channel, Deception Pass, Anacortes and Fidalgo Island. In Friday Harbor, be sure to visit the whale museum!
One of our most popular charter options. Bask in the splendor of an island sunset while enjoying hors d'oeuvres, dinner or just dessert. Have it catered or bring your own. Add some champagne and a little music and you have the perfect evening getaway.

What better place to tie the knot than the middle of Bellingham Bay? Or anywhere in the San Juan Archipelago? It doesn't get more romantic or memorable than this! Reserve the boat for the ceremony only, the reception only, or both!

Under cover on the upper deck is an ideal setting for the ceremony. No need to worry about rain.
Tables and chairs inside on the lower deck are ideal for a sit-down dinner or just hors d' oeuvres. For food and drink, caterers such as Hotel Bellwether, Boss Tweed, Emerald Bay Events, plus many others are able to provide you with a fabulous array of the finest quality foods. On the lower deck
When you need the utmost in privacy, we've got the answer. No telephone calls or knocks on your office door will interrupt you. Enjoy the home-like, quiet setting in our forward cabin. Plus you may use our 25" TV and VCR to put on your best training ever.
You provide the reason - birthday, anniversary, reunion, company outing, or just plain fun - and we'll design a cruise to fit and make it a memorable occasion.

We've found the best trip to be a seven or eight day Inside Passage cruise to the north end of Vancouver Island. As opposed to merely cruising through the Inside Passage, our schedule allows us to truly explore this magnificent area. No one offers a more personal experience.

Words are hard to find that accurately describe the various forms of magic that people encounter on our cruises. Maybe for you it will be the morning walks on misty beaches to pick up oysters, dig clams. . . or the opportunity to cruise remote areas of Desolation Sound where few can go . . . or hooking into a trophy salmon or halibut . . . or the chance to photograph the magnificent orcas, eagles, or bears that call the area home . . . or standing beneath the frigid waterfalls that come crashing down on our decks . . . or simply the chance to get away.
And believe me, we know some places that are truly "away." It's not uncommon to spend the entire day without encountering another boat. Charming fishing camps constructed on floats, Alert Bay Museum, Campbell River on Vancouver Island, deluxe resorts, and more, all provide ample opportunity for fun time ashore.
Other than set departure and return times, these cruises have no specific itinerary. We mold the trips to fit the wishes of our passengers. If you get up in the morning and decide you want to spend the day fishing, that's what we do. If you want to go to the nearest resort for a special lunch or dinner, we do it. If you want to go to the nearest town for shopping, that's where we go. Each trip is unique. Each provides its own special memories.
We've been taking people through these waters for over 36 years and know all the nooks and crannies that are most interesting and fun. If you have a special interest, we can tailor the trip to fit. It has been our experience that spring and fall are the finest times for these trips. We encounter fewer boats, fewer tourists, and more natural beauty than can generally be found during the summer.
Even those cruise companies that promote their small size as an advantage can't offer the personal attention we do. You let us know when you'd like to go and we will organize an adventure custom tailored just for you.
How to Prepare
The calm protected waters around the San Juan Islands offer excellent boating throughout the year and the Island Caper has plenty of indoor seating with air-conditioning and heating. However, the wise boater is always prepared. Wear sensible, non-slip shoes. Bring a sweater or wind breaker, a hat, gloves, sunglasses, and suntan lotion (sunblock).
